Online Parent Café Team Training

This 3-day online workshop will prepare your team to effectively host the internationally recognized Be Strong Families Online Parent Cafés.

Dates: February 18 - February 20, 2025 (3 days)

Time: Daily at 9:00 am - 5:00 pm CT

Location: Zoom webinar to be shared with attendees

The Online Parent Café Team Training prepares parents and providers to produce and host Be Strong Families' Online Parent Cafés!

These experiential, interactive three-day workshops for 4-6 person parent / provider teams per agency set a foundation for parent-led parent engagement through the use of Café materials, activities, and practice opportunities that emphasize deep self-reflection and peer-to-peer learning.

Be Strong Families Online Parent Cafés build community, trust, and the Strengthening Families™ Protective Factors. After this workshop, participants will have the basic knowledge and skills to bring Online Cafés to life and thereby to deliver a family support service with parents taking the lead and providers supporting them.

Included in the cost of the Online Parent Café Team Training is an additional half day (4 hours) of technical assistance (TA) and online support for the first Café a team hosts—ensuring a team’s first Online Café is a success! This technical assistance includes support for planning, online attendance by the TA provider at the first Online Café at each site, and assistance with Online Café set-up, implementation, and debrief.

Participants will be notified by email through their department/organization registration contact, or through Be Strong Families. Use of internet applications such as Zoom and Adobe Acrobat or current PDF document viewer required and installed prior to training. Participants require to provide address prior to first day of training.

Prior to training, participants will receive a manual and three Parent Café in a Box cards to use during various activities. Registration contact must provide attendee names, email, and ship-to addresses.

Cost:
Registration for the Café Team Training requires a minimum of 4 participants ($3,650.00 for team of 4). Every additional person is $912.50.
