Danielle Asher began Dasher Communities, LLC. to follow her passion for partnering with leaders to build a foundation of authenticity, accountability, transparency, and inclusion. Danielle is a Family and Community Engagement specialist and has directed many family and community engagement programs. She also creates and facilitates diversity and inclusion trainings for directors, employees, community organizations, schools, libraries, and religious groups. During the last decade, she worked as a tireless advocate for policies in all levels of government that affect children and families and increased state investment in public schools and early childhood education. Nationally, she has worked with the Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools at New York University and other parent leadership initiatives around the country to raise the profile of authentic family engagement and participatory evaluation in primary education. The team published the work of two separate projects in 2016 and 2019. Besides her consulting firm, she currently works at the Nassau County Board of Elections as the director of training.
