Juanita Maxie Liggins is a spiritual advocate/motivational speaker on autism. Through her own life changing experiences, her desire to help women overcome mental and emotional pain using practical knowledge/scripture as she is led by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Juanita is a graduate of University of Missouri Saint Louis, with a MA in Education Administration. Juanita has 10 years of experience in education assisting both children and their parents overcome barriers. She is a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Juanita credits her passion for working as a spiritual advocate and to inspire others; to her young adult life as she would listen to her mother speak to women at various churches and Women Conferences throughout West Tennessee. Juanita was inspired by smiles, hope and tears of joy expressed by the women each time.
Juanita is employed at United Way of Greater Saint Louis. This position has allowed her to further the passion she has to assist others by connecting them with resources and volunteer agencies in the community. God has placed on her heart to start her own Non-Profit Purposefully Planned Life specifically to address the needs of parents and caregivers of children with special abilities especially those with autism.
Juanita enjoys volunteering with local shelters and St. Louis Arc as a way of giving back to the community and to help everyone find hope in what seemed to be a hopeless situation.
Juanita shares her creative teaching styles by using her pain and life experiences. She desires to help all women avoid the challenges and pitfalls that she has experienced from having a mental breakdown and through her ministry she has discovered that her passion was all in God's purpose.
Juanita is a blessed member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Michael Franks, Senior Pastor. She serves on the Sister Circle Leadership Ministry under the leadership of Sis. Lillie Franks.
Juanita enjoys spending time with her loving family, and some hobbies includes reading, studying the word of God, and swimming. Juanita is happily married to her best friend, Carl, and the couple has one awesome son: Daniel, who happens to be on the autism spectrum. They live in Saint Louis, MO.
