Justin Margolis
Training and Technical Assistance Consultant
Justin Margolis comes from a very diverse and, at times, challenging background. As an only child, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, to a single, teenage mother, Justin has seen the world through a lens similar to that of the communities he serves. Justin came to the field of social work, public service, and nonprofit work via an unconventional path that gave him extensive experience in navigating many of the same pitfalls as the clients that are seen on a daily basis. Justin is a graduate of the Sierra Health Foundation, Health Leadership Class XI. In 2021, Justin received his Bachelor of Social Work from the California State University, Chico. Justin has served as Chair of The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Butte County and Chair of The Children’s Services Coordinating Council of Butte County. In addition, Justin has amassed many certificates in Mental Health First Aid, ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) LEAD training, Cultural Competency and Awareness, InsideOut Dad, 24/7 Dad, Love Notes as well as Boot Camp for New Dads. He is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. As a single father, Justin also is keenly aware of parenting challenges regarding custody, child support and the various struggles from a father’s perspective.
Justin loves the work that he does and has dedicated his life to representing those underserved, marginalized, and passed over communities of color and communities that have been through trials and just need that opportunity to shine.
