Taniella Bailey
(She, Her, Hers)
Illinois DCFS Youth Advisory Board Program Coordinator
Born in the twin cities of Champaign-Urbana Illinois, Taniella received her education in the Urbana school district. Even as a young girl, she knew her mission would be working with children and becoming an advocate for them. Becoming the family babysitter to her younger siblings and cousins at an early age helped to increase her skills of how to recognize the needs of children. She would gather all the children together and take them on field trips in the summer around their hometown.
Taniella has an Associate Degree in Arts from Parkland College where her focus was Elementary Education. Taniella is currently enrolled at Western Governor’s University online to obtain her Bachelor of Educational studies degree. Taniella would love to open her own daycare school someday. She has worked with all ages of children from birth to teens and wants to form teen programs in her city.
Taniella is a strong childcare advocate and for seven years coordinated and successfully organized back to school events for 50+ children and their families. Most recently Taniella worked as a Registered Behavior Technician providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions to children with autism and learning disabilities.
Taniella does not have children of her own, but because of her many years of work with children and their families, she has a great rapport with many of the kids and families still to this day and looks at all her former and present children as her babies. She even babysits the child(ren) of the children that she used to have in her care.
Her mission has always been about supporting youth, whether it is attending a game or a concert, visiting schools on special occasions, or just hanging out with them. Taniella’s life has been dedicated to youth.
“Family is not just by blood, but real and genuine connections!”
