Vee L. Harrison is an award-winning journalist from Chicago. Her work appears in publications across the city covering and highlighting Black culture and community news. Harrison is a Chicago change agent, setting the stage for new voices in Black media. During the course of her career as a journalist, social structure through the lens of a Black woman raised in the city's largest, poorest community on the West Side during 1990s. Directly after receiving her B.A. from Columbia College, she served as a journalism instructor for inner-city youth in Chicago, promoting news literacy and Black-owned media. Harrison has spoken to over two dozen audiences across the nation.
